Multiplying Four Digit Numbers More Than Working Base

Multiplying Four Digit Numbers More Than The Working Base Using Nikhilum Sutra I: In this method we take a common base such that both the numbers are greater than the base. Such type of Techniques of Vedic Maths help us to perform calculations in a much faster way.  Mastering such type of techniques is very essential in Competitive Exams where time is very precious

For example let us take 1021 and 1016

Step 1: As both the numbers are greater than 1000, so we will take the base as 1000.

let the base be 1000

1021       + 21

1016       + 16

Step 2: Now, multiply 21 with 16, we get 336.

Step 3: Now, add diagonally 1021 with 16 or 1016 with 21, We will get 1037.

Step 4: Multiplying with the base 1000 and adding 336.

Thus, answer is 1037336.
